Pakistani shortlisted for CUP’s ‘Most Dedicated Teacher’ award

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani teacher has been shortlisted for Cambridge University Press’s “Most Dedicated Teacher” award.

The Pakistani teacher, Ahmed Saya, is currently teaching in a private school of the port city of Karachi.

Saya is among the six teachers shortlisted from across the globe for the award.

Cambridge University Press in a tweet said that it was a tough decision for the judges but they have now decided on the six finalists for the Dedicated Teacher Awards 2019.

Voting for the award will remain open till January 27, 2019, and the “the lucky winner will win a trip to Cambridge, UK, as well as CPD opportunities for their school”.

Others nominees for the award include;

Abhinandan Bhattacharya, JBCN International School: Oshiwara, India

Anthony Chelliah, Gateway College, Sri Lanka

Candice Green, St Augustine’s College, Australia

Jimrey Dapin, University of San Jose-Recoletos, Philippines

Sharon Kong Foong, Sunway College, Malaysia

The six finalists were chosen by a panel of educational experts, the six winning finalists will win a host of prizes, plus a promotion from Cambridge University Press for themselves and their school.
