ISLAMABAD: Hundreds of thousands of Jazz postpaid customers are suffering for the last few days due to an issue in the payment system of the largest cellular service provider of the country.
The postpaid customers of the network are unable to use different services most importantly outgoing calls due to non-posting of their bill they have already paid through different banks.
Sources told The News Tribe that due to a fault in the bill posting system, the monthly bills paid by the customers through banks are not posted in their account due to which they are facing suspension of services.
The sources said that those customers of the service providers are worst hit who have paid their bills through the online banking system. The paid bills are not being posted in their accounts due to the issue in the system.
The mobile service provide neither intimated the customers about the fault in its system nor provided any details after the issue popped up.
A few postpaid customers told The News Tribe that though the network operator is claiming the fault was rectified but they are still without services despite payment of their monthly bills to the company through the banking system.
According to customers the company claimed that the issue would be fixed within 24 hours, but the issue is still there.
When the helpline of the operator is contacted by the customers, they are not given any deadline about fixing the issue. If any customer insists for the restoration of its outgoing call facility, he is asked to lodge a complaint and the outgoing service is restored for a few hours. But the customers again faced the issue within hours after restoration of outgoing call service.
Jazz is the largest cellular service provider in the country.
Its post-paid customers have demanded the company to fix the issue at the earliest and ensure that they must not face the issue again.
