KARACHI – The meeting of Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee for sighting the crescent of Ramadan will be held on Friday, May 26, said the committee of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith harmony.

The central committee has announced that the chances of witnessing of the moon of Ramadan will be higher on May 26, Shaban 29 1438 Hijri.

The meeting of District Ruet-e-Hilal Committees will be held on the same day and at the same time.

The celebration date of Ramadan ad Eid is a matter of concern for the government; many parts of Pakistan celebrate the holy month and Eid on different dates.

The government has now taken a serious step to regularize the celebration of holy months, as we have seen in 2016.

The Water and Power Supply’s head Abid Sher Ali announced few days before that there would be no load-shedding during Sehr and Iftar times.
