KARACHI – Government of Sindh has rescheduled summer vacations 2017 in Sindh due to the arrival of Ramadan.
According to new notification, all the public and private institutes will be closed from first of Ramazan in connection with annual summer vacations.
The holy month of Ramazan is expected to start from 27th or 28th May.
The educational institutes will remain closed for two months.
“With approval from competent authority, summer vacations for all public and private education institutions in Sindh are hereby rescheduled with effect from 1st Ramazan to 31-7-2017 instead of 01-06-2017 to 31-7-2017 due to rising temperature and start of Ramazan. All education institutions shall open on 01st August 2017,” said a notification issued by School Education Department.
Earlier, the summer vacation schedule was announced from June first to July 31st.
Secretary Education announced the schedule, in collaboration with Education Minister. Vacations would comprise the time period of 1st June to July 31st.
