The Bluetooth 5.0 is here, finally. On December 7, 2016, Bluetooth Special Group Interest (SIG) has officially announced Bluetooth Version 5.0.
Now it’s easy for the makers of the smartphone to adopt modern technologies rather than everything up to the mark but an older version of Bluetooth 4.0.
The latest version will be used in smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops and smart devices but this technology will take 2 to 6 months to hit the market.
The project carried out in July 2016 and completed by the end of 2016.
The latest version of Bluetooth offers quadruples range and double the speed of wireless connections over Bluetooth’s low energy protocol, which means it won’t take much power if you keep you Bluetooth on or connected to wearables, headphones or other devices.
There has always been a slow connection problem with the smartwatches, but with Bluetooth 5.0 there wouldn’t be anything to complain about.
SIG claims that the new version of Bluetooth will not be the cause of wireless channel congestion while your phone is connected to 4G network and giving the services to other devices through the hotspot.
The new technology increases the capacity of connection-less data broadcast by 800 percent and provide the services like beacon, location-relevant and navigation.
At this point, we cannot expect for the better sound quality over Bluetooth headset until unless they would be equipped with the same technology so it can send the audio streaming as it is, instead of compressing it.
