DUBAI: West Indies have reached 95/2 till Day 4 stumps, a solid start chasing Pakistan’s 346 runs target to win the first Test of the three-match series at Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Earlier, Pakistan were bundled out for just 123 run in their second innings, courtesy to Bishu’s 8 wickets for 49 runs.
Earlier in the day, after restricting West Indies to 357 in the first innings, skipper Misbah preferred to bat again, opting against imposing follow on.
In an attempt to make quick runs, Pakistan top and middle order kept losing wickets at regular interval. Pakistan at the end of second session, were 121 for 8.
Only Sami Aslam (44) and Babar Azam (21) could manage to show some resistance.
West Indies required 346 runs to win this landmark Test match.
When Windies came in to bat, they sent the direct message to Pakistan that they are there to fight.
West Indian openers played their shots freely, and in the process, both fell prey to Amir’s deadly swing bowling till the end of the final session of day for, taking their team to 95/2. West Indies still require another 251 runs with 8 wickets remaining.
