Bishu breaks Saeed Ajmal’s record

DUBAI: Phenomenal bowling display from West Indies leg spinner Davendara Bishu has put his team in a great position to win this landmark Day/Night Test.

This was Bishu’s career best performance as he picked 8 wickets in the innings for just 49 runs.

The monumental effort was however,  best bowling figures by any bowler in the UAE, beating Ajmal’s 7 for 55.

The performance was fifth best in West Indies Test history while fifth best (leg-spinners) over all after Anil Kumble, Abdul Qadir, Subash Gupte and Arthur Mailey.

With the help of Bishu’s career best performance, West Indies rolled up Pakistan for just 123 runs in the second innings of first Test match at Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai.

West Indies require 346 runs to win this landmark Test match.
