DUBAI: Pakistan opening batsman Azhar Ali has created history by hitting the first double hundred in a Day/Night Test here at Dubai Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
Azhar also became the first centurion of D-N Test.
It was his second double ton, and the first one against West Indies.
The magnificent innings was studded with 19 classical boundaries and only humongous sixer.
Pumped up with excitement, Azhar celebrated his double century with push ups and Sajida.
According to states from ESPNcricinfo, with this great feat, Azhar has joined Pakistan elite with maximum hundreds after fifty Tests.
He has equalled the record of Muhammad Yusuf and stands second with Younis Khan and great Hanif Muhammad.
The knock has been well supported and enjoyed by the Pakistan dug out. Almost everyone back there was on their feet when Ali was nearly caught in slip on his 190.
The double ton, was however, well applauded by his team mates and the management.
Pakistan Test vice captain is currently unbeaten on 214 till the filing of this story.
