RAWALPINDI: A full-flash rally from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate for the by-election in PP-7 Kamran Malik has caused worst traffic jam near Sang Jani tollplaza, near Islamabad.
PP workers have blocked the main highway that runs from Islamabad to Taxela, near Sang Jani tollplaza and are busy in ‘bhangra’ on party songs.
The rally has resultantly blocked the GT road which connects Punjab, KPK, Hazara division and Islamabad, leaving thousands of public and private transport struck on the road.
No traffic police, local administration, ambulance or the fire fighters are present to cop any untoward situation.
It is pertinent to mention here that today is the last day of political campaigning in this constituency as per Election Commission’s order.
The seat fell vacant owing to the death of Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) MPA Muhammad Siddique Khan. His son Ammar Siddique Khan is contesting on the vacant seat of his father.
