WhatsApp rumored to launch in-built app for Windows

ISLAMABAD- WhatsApp is going to launch an in-built app for Windows, according to the rumors erupted from social media site, Twitter.

One Twitter account, which posts updates on WhatsApp has revealed several screenshots. These screenshots exhibit a download page which depicts “Download for Mac OS X” and “Download for Windows.”

Although the screenshots are not sourced from the company but the uploaded pieces seem authentic despite a good HTML design being absent.

It is pertinent to mention here that Facebook-owned WhatsApp has developed apps for the iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows phone and even for some Nokia gadgets, in order to attract the desktop users in addition to those who use phones.

Currently, mobile devices are required to complete a laptop or desktop’s demands to logon while using a QR code.

If the rumors are true, then the company is going beyond its earlier set goal of “enhanced SMS substitute” for their apps.

Though it is still clear whether the company is going to launch any such app, and whether the WhatsApp patron for Windows
