PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government’s bank has issued a charge sheet against its own finance minister Muzaffar Syed for misusing power and illegal appointments.
According to express news, Bank of Khyber has given an advertisement in newspapers in which it has labeled serious allegations against him of using bank funds for political rallies and direct intervention on bank affairs.
He was also accused for putting pressure on bank for appointment of his relatives. Secretary of provisional finance minister has also charges of against the law appointment s in bank.
Five banks employees have been dismissed over allegation leaking bank information.
While rejecting the bank allegations, provisional minister Muzaffar Syed said that he did not use bank for political benefits.
“If appointments are not on merit basis, authorities should launch inquiry against me to prove me guilty. No one has right to label allegation without any evidences,” retaliated Mazaffar Syed .
Muzaffar Sayed is from Jammat-e-Islami which is in coalition with PTI in KPK assembly. Muzaffar Sayed was given the charge after Siraj ul Haq left this post to become Senator.
Two of KPK minister have been dismissed on allegation of corruption so far.
