KOLKATA: Head coach of Pakistan cricket team Waqar Younis, came in support of T20 skipper Shahid Afridi and defend the statement given by Shahid Afridi, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

While addressing press conference in Kolkata, Head coach of Pakistan cricket team said their is nothing controversial in Afridi’s statement.

Waqar Younis claimed that Indians loves cricket and give respect to cricket players. While talking about Pakistan-Bangladesh match, he said that Bangladesh team is performing well and Pakistani team needs to perform well to grab win in the first group match of International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2016.

On a question he answered that Shahid Afridi will be available for Pakistan-Bangladesh and he is recovering quickly as he is suffering from fever.

Its is important to mention here that Bangladesh was the team who knocked out Pakistan in first ever T20 Asia Cup 2016, held in Bangladesh.

Now it will be a great contest between Shaheens and Bangal Tigers as their confidence is much higher than Pakistani players because of brilliant performance in Asia Cup 2016 and T20 world cup qualifiers.
