Rain hits most parts of country, more expected during next 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: Heavy rain hit most parts of country including federal capital Islamabad, Quetta, Sibbi and Kashmir, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Pakistan Meteorological department (PMD) predicted that during next 24 hours widespread rain-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, FATA, north Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob,  Sibbi and Naseerabad divisions), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan with isolated hailstorm. Scattered heavy downpours, at times very heavy   downpours is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA, Kashmir while isolated heavy downpours is expected in north Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Sibbi and Naseerabad divisions).

Scattered rain-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds is also expected in Kalat and Makran divisions. Scattered dust-thundershower is expected in Sindh.

PMD issued weather warning  and mentioned in a press release that Heavy downpours may generate flash flooding in the vulnerable areas of Balochistan on Friday.

Heavy rains may also generate flash flooding/urban looding in the vulnerable areas of  KP, FATA, DG Khan, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions and Kashmir during Friday to Sunday. The fishermen of Balochistan carrying small boats are advised to remain careful during next 24 hours.
