KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday took action against Shahid Afridi’s tweet regarding team selection and imposed ban on media talk, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
According to sources, the board is afraid of entrapping in any further dispute due to the talk of Shahid Afridi, therefore, it has banned him from media interaction for unannounced time period.
Afridi, who refused to speak to the media upon his return from Bangladesh on Saturday, chose social media website Twitter to express his views.
In tweets sent out on Saturday, he requested the prime minister to look into barriers preventing cricketing talent from the grass-roots level to rise and prove their mark.
He said: “I would want 2 request the PM to look into the barriers which r preventing talent from the grass root level to rise and prove their mark”
