Govt conditionally allowed Qadri’s funeral procession to enter in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Federal government on Tuesday conditionally allowed funeral procession Mumtaz Qadri to enter in Islamabad, TheNewsTribe.com reported. 

Leaders of religious parties assured government that procession will remain peaceful. Still no media coverage is given to the massive funeral procession but videos and pictures of massive procession jolted the social media.

According to information, procession  will arrive at Bhara Kahun from Faizabad to Rawal Damn, Chawk Shehzad, Kurri Village and then Bhara Kahu.

Funeral prayer of Mumtaz Qadri has been offered in Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindin, Rawalpindi on Tuesday after Zuhar prayer.

Mumtaz Qadri, was Monday around 4:30 am at Adiala Jail. Senior police official Sajjid Gondal told that Mumtaz Qandri, who shot Salman Taseer 28 times, was hanged to death earlier on Monday.

“I can confirm that Qadri was hanged in Adialia jail early Monday morning,” senior local police official Sajjid Gondal told AFP.

Salman Taseer was killed in Kohsar’s Market back in January 4, 2011. Mumtaz Qadri said that he killed Taseer over what he called the politician’s vocal opposition to blasphemy laws of the country.

Qadri was sentenced to death over the killing of Salman Taseer in October 1, 2011 and his mercy plea was rejected by President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain.
