KARACHI: Employees of national flag carrier decided to closed flight operation for hour and decided to close the head office and other offices in major cities of country.
Employees of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) continued protest on third day, demanding the federal government to withdraw its decision of privatizing PIA.
PIA’s Joint Action Committee said in statement that protest would continue until the government withdraws its decision and gets the bill passed from the National Assembly.
Meanwhile, the PIA administration has requested the demonstrators not to close booking offices as it would panic for passengers.
The PIA spokesman said any delay in the schedule of flights could cause heavy losses to the airline and requested the employees to cooperate with the administration.
