CAPE TOWN: England pacer Stuart Broad showed aggressive behavior towards Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar during second Test match of the series between South Africa and England.

English pacer has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during Day four of the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town on Tuesday.

Broad showed rude behavior towards Aleem Dar who is supervising his 100th Test match. Pacer was found to have breached Article 2.1.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel.

The Article relates to “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision during an international match”.

The incident took place in the 195th over of South Africa’s innings. Broad showed dissent to umpire Aleem Dar. An angry Broad twice told the Pakistani umpire to ‘just get on with the game’. Interestingly, after the on-field umpires had warned England captain Alastair Cook about the fast bowler for damaging the pitch by kicking it in frustration.
