Operation Zarb-e-Azb, a joint military offensive launched by the Pakistan Armed Forces against the militant groups was initiated in June 2014, in North Waziristan.
Eighteen months into Operation Zarb-e-Azb propelled against militants, the military’s media wing claims 3,400 militants have been killed hence forth.
“3,400 terrorists killed, 837 hideouts from where they were carrying out their terrorist activities destroyed,” DG ISPR Lt Gen Asim Bajwa announces.
General Asim Bajwa tweets, “During last 18 month over 13200 IBOs carried out across the country in which 183 hardcore terrorists killed, 21193 arrested.”

23 terrorists including foreigners were killed in areas closer to Pak-Afghan border in Khyber and North Wazirastan agencies today in aerial strikes. Huge ammunition dump also blown up in strikes in Khyber Agency.

22 May 2015:
Four Pakistani soldiers were killed and two others were injured in Dattakhel area of North Waziristan Agency. In Pakistani counter-retaliation, the military launched a search-operation killing seven militants

At least 35 militants were killed in aerial strikes in South Waziristan and Datta Khel area of North Waziristan, according to ISPR

76 militants including foreigners were killed in the Pakistani air-strikes targeting militant hideouts in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan. 53 militants were killed in the first round and 23 militants were killed in the second round of the air-strikes. Six militant hideouts and an ammunition dump was destroyed

Twelve militants were killed as gunship helicopters targeted militant hideouts in Datta Khel. In the air-strikes, four militant hideouts and seven vehicles were also destroyed
