ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Friday clarified that there is no solid reason to arrest cleric of Lal Masjid, Maulana Abdul Aziz, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
While addressing to National Assembly, he said claimed that the government and clerics’ bodies have agreed on registration of seminaries and syllabi.
While talking about non-governmental organizations (NGO) he said that “Hundreds of NGOs were functioning in the country and the ministry has taken necessary measures to keep a check.”
He said that an online registration form was issued for the NGOs. At least 127 NGOs have applied for registrations in the recent past, he added.
The minister said that organisations which are approved by the government could function in the country. The ministry also maintained a check on issuance of visas to foreigners, he added.
