MADRID: World famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told the Real Madrid’s president that he will leave if Rafael Benitez is not sacked.
According to details, Madrid’s manager Rafael Benitez’s position is in great jeopardy after Real Madrid’s shameful 4-0 defeat to bitter rivals Barcelona in the season’s first Clasico on Saturday.
Ronaldo, who is believed to have had a frosty relationship with Benitez for some time, cut a frustrated figure throughout Saturday’s loss, and according to La Gazette Dello Sport he “exploded” at the Spaniard after the match.
The report adds that Ronaldo has since told Madrid president Florentino Perez that the situation is simple: either Benitez leaves the club or he will.
Real are currently third in the La Liga standings, six points behind Barcelona, with their Madrid rivals Atletico sandwiched between the two clubs.
