It has large yellow eyes which are its greatest weapon; they have the power to kill their victim the time it looks into them. The picture is not complete here, the serpent has fangs whose venom is so lethally poisonous that it can destroy horcruxes.
Harry killed the one in his second year at Hogwarts and his friend Ron collected its fangs in the Seventh part to destroy the horcrux.
