MUMBAI: Indian citizen Dasharth Manjhi has made an impossible thing possible by cutting a mountain in love of his wife.
By reading the story of a low caste person Manjhi, from Bihar State of Eastern India, we all come to know that commitment and high morale can make impossible things possible.
In 1959, Manjhi’s wife was critically injured in an accident and she died of lack of treatment because she did not reach hospital in time due to a mountain between hospital and her residence.
After her death, Manjhi decided to make a clear way for hospital by cutting this mountain so that no one would die before reaching the hospital.
He started to cut mountain with the help of hammer and chisel and when he initiate the work people called him mad but his commitment and morale had made it possible and at the end he was succeded in his work.
Due to his day and night workout he reduced a 55 Km way to just 15 Km.
Manjhi died in 2007 due to cancer but he has set an example that strong commitment and morale can make anything possible.
Bollywood has made a movie named ‘Manjhi’ to pay tribute to this man in which Nawaz-ud-din siddiqui is playing a leading role.
