ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party has decided to use its trump-card by replacing party’s co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari with Khurshid Shah as an opposition leader in National Assembly.
According to a private TV channel, the crucial decision came up during a meeting of Pakistan People’s Party’s central executive committee held in Islamabad last night.
The meeting was chaired by young Bilawal whereas Asif Ali Zardari was also present in the meeting.
Asif Ali Zardari’s recent comment about Pak Army and Sindh government’s current situation were discussed in the meeting.
Reports claim that during the meeting, many important decisions including Bilawal’s entry in National Assembly as Opposition Leader and Khurshid Shah’s replacement with Qayim Ali Shah as Sindh’s Chief Minister were taken.
The committee also decided to let Bilawal lead party’s command and to add young blood into the party.
It is expected that PPP will bring Bilawal into parliament by letting him contest election on their home ground of Larkana constituency.
It is notable that both former prime ministers of PPP’s government Yusuf Raza Gilani and Raja Parvez Ashraf resigned from their party designations after the meeting, which indicates that many ground-breaking decisions are yet to come.
