ISLAMABAD: President Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Women Wing MNA Faryal Talpur might resign from the National Assembly to vacate NA-207 Larkana for bringing in party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to the National Assembly.
Sources said that PPP’s Central Executive Committee’s meeting is scheduled for June 17 in Islamabad, which will be presided over by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. They said that the meeting will consider the option to bring in party chairman to the National Assembly and if it was decided then Faryal Talpur would resign from NA to pave the way for his election as member of the National Assembly.
On Monday, Bilwal Bhutto Zardari reached Islamabad to attend the meeting of PPP’s Central Executive Committee on June 17.
Former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Opposition leaders in the National Assembly and Senate Khurshid Shah and Aitzaz Ahsan, respectively, received party chairman at Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
Besides’ Bilawal election, the meeting will also discuss upcoming local governments elections in Islamabad, Punjab and Sindh.
