KARACHI: District and Sessions Court on Monday granted former Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza the permission to travel abroad, sources revealed.
In an application, Mirza requested the court that he should be allowed to travel abroad on account of medical treatment. After listening to the counsel’s arguments, the court granted former home minister permission to travel abroad.
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) had reserved on Saturday its order on Mirza’s bail confirmation in the Darakhshan police station’s case till June 10 after hearing arguments from both the sides.
Since the registration of the case, former Sindh minister remained on bail as he approached the Sindh High Court the very next day, seeking protection from being arrested.
Meanwhile, he was also granted an extension in bail in four other cases registered against him earlier this month at a Badin police station.
