RIYADH – The Government of Saudi Arabia beheaded another Pakistani citizen for allegedly smuggling heroin on Friday.
According to sources, the number of Pakistani citizen beheaded this year in different criminal offence has raised to ten.
The total number of beheaded accused in criminal activities had reached to 90 the following year, said sources.
It is pertinent to mention that the death sentences awarded this year so far has exceeded 2014 death penalties in Saudi Arabia.
According to a special report released by United Nation, the growing number of death sentences in Saudi Arabia needed special attention. The report also mentioned grave reservations of the United Nations (UN) over the death penalties.
Christof Heyns has said that this attitude of Saudi Arabia towards the accused was against human rights, adding that the death sentences trend was lowering in other parts of the world.
