ISLAMABAD – Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assembly’s Speaker, Asad Qaiser, for being violating ECP code of conduct on Thursday.
According to ECP, notice has been sent to KPK assembly speaker, Asad Qaiser for not acting as per the rules prescribed by ECP.
Election commission has asked Asad Qaiser to appear before Election Commission in order to clarify his position.
It is also pertinent to mention that ECP had issued notices to some other Politicians hailing from Khyber pakhtunkhwa who had also violated ECP code of conduct.
ECP had also issued such notice to Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Siraj Ul Haq, to clear his position and he, then, apologized the ECP for violation of rules.
Siraj-ul-Haq submitted his apology to the ECP in written as he had violated code of conduct as issued by ECP.
However, ECP has asked Speaker KPK assembly to appear in person before the commission to clear his stance.
