FAISALABAD – The police has started raids to arrest the teachers who had been on protest against the Punjab government yesterday.
According to the sources, police conducted raid in the morning to arrest the city president of Punjab Teachers Association.
Punjab Teachers Association (PTA) had started protest against government of Punjab for not considering their rightful demands yesterday.
The teachers said that the protest would continue until Punjab government issues transfer orders of the Secretary Schools.
The “Muttahida Mahaz Asataza” Punjab on Tuesday had also appealed the Lahore High Court chief justice to take notice of the indifference of the Punjab government towards the just demands of teachers.
Attended by Punjab Teachers Union central president Hafiz Ghulam Mohyuddin, Punjab SES Teachers Association central president Rana Sultan, Punjab Educators Association central president Chaudhry Safdar, Punjab Government Schools Senior Staff Association’s former president Hafiz Abdul Nasir and other office bearers, the meeting had unanimously decided to continue the sit-in till acceptance of their demands.
