Yemen conflict not sectarian in nature: Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman

ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman has said Pakistan stands by Saudi Arabia in the current Middle East crisis.

Addressing a conference in Islamabad on Saturday, he said the Muslims will lay down their lives for the protection of the two holy mosques.

It is not the war it is the rebellion, he added.

Maulana said that Muslims should stand united and try to resolve the conflict with negotiations. War is not the solution of the crisis.

He praise the government to take the Yemen issue to the Parliament and finally decided not to join the war in battles.

JUI-F chief said that Pakistan being the only Muslim Nuclear power has certain responsibilities to maintain peace and order in the Muslim world.

He said that we are ready to sacrifice our lives for the cause of Khana Kaba and other Holy places in the Saudi Arabia.

But there is no eminent threat to the integrity of Saudi Arabia, he added.

We do not believe in the reciprocity with Saudi Arabia, no matter Saudis come to help us or not we will help them in their difficult times, he added.
