Pakistan will remain neutral on Yemen issue: Parliament passes resolution

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Parliament’s joint session has unanimously adopted resolution on Yemen, as the four days long debated ended.

According to details, a resolution was adopted by Parliament of Pakistan which decides that Pakistan government will remain neutral on Yemen issue.

Having noted that war in Yemen is not sectarian, Pakistan Parliament expressed serious concerns over deteriorating situation in Yemen.

Parliament calls upon warring factions to resolve differences peacefully through dialogues.

Parliament expressed gratitude for China for contributing evacuation of stranded Pakistanis in Yemen.

Parliament of Pakistan underscores need for continued efforts by Pakistan government for finding peaceful solution to Yemen crisis.

The Parliament also declared that in case of any threat to Saudi Arabia, Pakistan will stand shoulder to shoulder with the Arab country.

Parliament of Pakistan advises the government to enhance its cooperation with GCC and others in combating terrorism extremism.
