PML-N clean sweeps Senate elections in Punjab, Islamabad

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has clean swept Senate polls in Punjab, as PML-N men clinched all the 11 seat of the Upper House of the Parliament from the province.

Chaudhry Tanveer Khan, Abdul Qayum, Dr Ghous Muhammad, Salim Zia, Nehal Hashmi, Mushahid Ullah Khan and Pervez Rasheed elected on general seats.

While Najma Hameed and Aisha Raza elected as Senator on two seats reserved for women seats.

Two technocrat seats were also won by the PML-N as Sajid Mir and Raja Zafarul Haq returned on the seats .

The PML-N also clinched both the seats of Islamabad as Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Raheela Magsi ensured berth in Senate from the capital.
