NAPIER: It is likely that Nasir Jamsheed will be given another chance to play against United Arab Emirates (UAE), in the 25th match of World Cup on Wednesday in Napier, private news channel reported.
The batsman who was included in the team as an opener had failed to show his performance in last two matches he played against West Indies and Zimbabwe.
Nasir had scored just one run against Zimbabwe and was bowled out at duck against West Indies.
It is also pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar khan has supported Sarfaraz Ahmed inclusion in Pakistan team playing eleven in World Cup and the chairman also suggested that Sarfaraz should open the Pakistan innings in coming matches of the green shirts in the World Cup.
It was also rumored that tour management has decided to include Sarfaraz Ahmed in the team but it will be confirmed on Wednesday (tomorrow) when Pakistan will face UAE.
