CM, governor KP make contact to stop horse trading in senate polls in province


ISLAMABAD: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Pervez khattak and governor Khyber Pakhtunkhawa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi have recently contacted to stop horse trading in the senate polls in the province.

Both agreed that political parties will make every possible effort to save the senate polls from being polluted.
The members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are included in proposing and favouring the name of Waqar Khan, a wealthy candidate for senate seat.

Wealthy candidates are being invited in Islamabad and representatives of these candidates are also busy. Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhawa have accelerated the efforts to protect the reputation of the political parties.
The political circles are showing concern that some political parties may face political loss with regard to senate elections.
Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhawa assembly, Assad Qaiser has also become active to get the horse trading stopped in the province with regard to upcoming senate polls.
It is pertinent to mention here that the price of senate seat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhawa has reached up to Rs 60 million.
It is pertinent to mention here that the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has threatened to cordon the houses of the members who will possibly sell their conscience.
