KARACHI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif on Monday vowed to go to any extent for establishing durable peace in Karachi.
According to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Saleem Bajwa, Army chief during his visit to Rangers Headquarters in Karachi said that security agencies performance for establishing peace in the Karachi was satisfactory.
He assured that Pak Army would extend every possible cooperation for lasting and durable peace in the mega city.
During the visit, DG Ranger Major General Bilal Akbar gave a detailed briefing to Army Chief on overall law and order situation in the city and the ongoing targeted operation.
While lauding the performance of Rangers, police and intelligence agencies in establishing peace in the city, he remarked that Army would go to any extent in extending cooperation for ensuring permanent peace in Karachi.
Later, the Army Chief was shown the arms and ammunition recovered from terrorists and outlawed during the ongoing targeted operation in Karachi.
