PPP completed interviews of senate election candidates

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentary Board has completed the interviews of the candidates interested in party ticket for the Senate elections on Sunday.

Meeting of the parliamentary board was held at Bilawal House Karachi on Sunday in which candidates belonging to Punjab, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KP) and Islamabad were interviewed.

From Punjab, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Malik Hakeem and Pir Haider Zaman Qureshi were interviewed.
Senator Waqar Ahmad, Noor Alam Khan and Asma Arbab Alamgir were interviewed from KP.
Sabir Baloch was interviewed from Baluchistan while Narjis Faiz and Memona Zainab Kazmi were interviewed from Sindh.
The meeting was also attended by President PPP Punjab Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, President PPP Baluchistan Sadiq Umrani and President PPP KP Khanzada Khan.
On the other hand, former interior minister Rehman Malik has also got active. He has talked to Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah regarding senate elections. Rehman Malik will soon be leaving for England where he will meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain to discuss alliance between PPP and MQM for senate elections.
