Political parties, nation, institutions are united against terrorism: PM

LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said it was a welcome sign that all the political parties, whole nation and all institutions are on the same page in war against terrorism.

He said great successes have been achieved during operation Zarb-e-Azb, adding that Pakistani soil would be purged from the terrorists.

A meeting was held at Jati Umrah Raiwind on Sunday between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to discuss Pakistan’s socio-political situation. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on this occasion that the people of Pakistan are united in the fight against terrorism.

 

According to the details, security situation of educational institutions was discussed in the meeting along with further processes needed for keeping everything peaceful in the country. It was also committed that a swift and strict action will be maintained in the fight against terrorism. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the whole nation shows solidarity against terrorism.
He stated that operation Zarb-e-Azab is preceding forward with remarkable success. He said that the approval of the 21st constitutional amendment in the parliament and the solidarity shown by all political party’s against the war on terrorism highlights the fact that considerable successes have been achieved. The effort was therefore commendable. Prime minister said that war against terrorism could be won with the unity of whole nation. He said the country would be purged from each and every terrorist and Pakistan would be made a peaceful country. The prime minister expressed resolve to eliminate each terrorist from the country.
During the meeting it was agreed that the swift actions against the terrorists would be continued. The establishment of military courts was also discussed during the meeting.
