ISLAMABAD: Interior Ministry has decided to take as many as 6, 777 suspected persons into protective confinement across the country.
The ministry has issued arrest warrants to all suspected and it is likely that they all would be arrested in next 48 hours.
Most of the suspected belonged to banned outfits. The record of all these suspected present in as per anti-terrorist act 1997 in schedule 4.
According to the further details out of 6,777 suspected 1416 resident of Punjab, 4000 from KP, 1000 from Sindh, 338 from Baluchistan and 23 from Islamabad.
The government has taken the measure in the implementation national anti-terrorism action plan to eradicate terrorism and extremism from the country.
The government has beefed up security measures in wake of barbaric attack on Army Public School in Peshawar.
At least seven terrorists carried out barbaric attack on Peshawar’s Army Public School on December 16 and martyred as many as 149 persons including innocents 134 children.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in his address to the nation on Thursday said that the barbaric, horrendous attack has changed Pakistan and the government will not left any single terrorists in the country unpunished.
