RAWALPINDI: Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani on Friday visited the General Headquarters of Pakistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
President Ashraf Ghani is on his first-ever visit to the neighboring country to hold talks on regional peace, bilateral issues including terrorism and border management.
Ghani held discussion on Pakistan-Afghanistan border security matters with top military officials during his visit to military headquarter on Friday.
Ghani praised the role of the Pakistanis in war against terrorism, besides assuring of maximum support from Afghanistan in the fight.
He expressed his willingness to coordinate with Pakistan in security and defence sectors.
Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (DG-ISI) Rizwan Akhtar, Advisor to PM on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Secretary Defence Lt. General (Retd) Alam Khattak and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry were present in the meeting, ISPR said.
