Murad Ali Shah takes oath as Sindh Finance Minister

KARACHI: A new-elected Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) Murad Ali Shah has taken oath as Sindh Finance Minister on Thursday, November 13.

Governor Sindh Ishrat-ul-Ibad took the oath from former Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Leader Murad Ali Shah in Governor House.

Murad Ali Shah could not contest last year’s general election for holding dual nationality and was appointed as Advisor to CM on Finance after PPP formed Sindh government following electoral victory.

As incumbent Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah’s performance as chief executive of the province has been utter failure, sources said that PPP leadership was mulling to bring in-house change to install a young and energetic man as Chief Minister so that the provincial government’s service delivery could be improved.
