GUJRANWALA: Local administration on Wednesday refused to give permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for holding public meeting at Jinnah Stadium, Gujranwala, which is scheduled for Nob 19, 2014.
Sources said that PTI’s local leadership had applied for permission for Nob 19 rally at Jinnah Stadium. However, the district administration has denied permission to PTI for the rally.
DCO Gujranwala said that there were security concerns about holding rally at Jinnah Stadium.
He said that the permission was denied purely on security grounds, as the venue was not suitable for public rally.
It is to be mentioned here that the PTI was planning to hold public meeting in Gujranwala on Nov 19 as part of its mass mobilization drive against the government.
The party, which is holding a rally in Nankana Sahib today, will hold a public meeting in Larkana on Nov 21 before its, what party chief say, grand tsunami on Nov 3o in the federal capital.
