Pakistan’s electricity shortfall reaches 3800 MW before Ramadan

ISLAMABAD: National Transmission And Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) on Saturday revealed the significant figure of power shortage in the country; reaching 3,800 megawatt in Pakistan.

Menace of load shedding is not likely to be decreased in Pakistan despite federal government’s claims for major development in power sector; as electricity shortfall reaches up 3800 megawatts this summer.

According to NTDC, the power sector of the country is adding 13,900 megawatts electricity to the National Grid, whereas, total demand is 17,700 megawatts across the country.

It should be mentioned here that urban areas of the country facing daily 12 hours load shedding while rural areas suffering 16 hours worst load shedding in Pakistan.
