KUALA LUMPUR: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane, PK 899, engine has reportedly caught fire during flight at Kuala Lumpur airport of Malaysia on Thursday (today).
Lahore-bound PIA’s plane escaped from a major air accident today as its engine caught fire 20-minutes after taking off from Kuala Lumpur airport, sources said.
PIA’s PK-899 plane has made an emergency landing on the airport while all the passengers are reportedly safe, reports added.
PIA spokesperson confirmed the technical fault occurred during the flight but rejected the reports regarding erupted fire inside the engine of the plane.
The spokesperson said that PK-899 has landed back safely on the airport due to unordinary vibration in the engine.
