AKORA KHATTAK: Head of the Taliban- nominated peace committee, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq said that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has demanded free peace zone for dialogues where they could come and go without fear for holding talks with the government.
In a special interview with BBC, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq said that, presently there are a number of places where arrests are being made while there are a number of blockades laid by the army, FC and the law enforcement institutions and Taliban cannot move freely.
He said that there would be several meetings after the start of formal talks if there would a free zone for the purpose, saying that the central leaders of the Taliban cannot surface due to fear of arrest.
While talking about head of TTP head Mualana Fazlullah, Samiul Haq said that he does not know whereabouts of Mualana Fazlullah.
He informed media that Taliban ‘Shura’ (council) is running affairs of the Taliban which consists 15 to 16 members.
