PESHAWAR: Prominent leader of a politico-religious party Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and a intermediator of militants’ committee, Professor Ibrahim, said that Taliban have started investigation of newly emerged name Ahrar-ul-Hind.
Professor Ibrahim said without naming anyone that enemy and some secret hands are continuously trying to sabotage negotiations for peace establishment in Pakistan.
He said that Taliban initiates investigation about Ahrar-ul-Hind, who had claimed three violent attacks in the federal capital Islamabad, provincial capitals including Quetta and Peshawar till yet.
Ibrahim was talking to the local media as he returned back after holding an important meeting at an undisclosed venue with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) political council, Shura, for discussing and inquiring further steps of the peace process.
He told the media that contact has been made with Habib Ullah who is leading the newly announced governmental committee.
Ibrahim said that Taliban have provided a list and demanded the federal government’s goodwill to release women and children under custody of Pakistani forces. However, he added that they have asked the militants for provision of evidences.
He added that Taliban ensure not to put anyone into problem and give peace gift to the Pakistani nation.
Ibrahim clarified that he has no linkage with the banned outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
He said that the reply from government-led committee is due as well as their suggestions and after the final answer the federal government intermediators would be taken to a decided venue in Waziristan.
While talking about the expected venue for holding peace talks, Ibrahim said that Taliban have spotted Mehsud’s area where they could move easily and without having any problem, however, the venue will be decided after getting answer from government’s committee.
Professor Ibrahim said that the destabilisation of peace took place following the wrong policies of former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf.
