THAR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday announced Rs1 billion grant for the people of drought hit Thar area of Sindh’s Tharparkar district.
During his visit to the area, the PM directed provincial Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah to take stern actions against those who are responsible of more than 100 deaths.
On the occasion, Tharparkar Deputy Commissioner Asif Ikran briefed him aid assistance in the people of drought affected area.
The prime minister directed the government to provide people with mobile health facility if they need. He said that action should be taken to ensure that such situation not happen again in future.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah were also present with the PM during the visit.
