Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the suo moto case of children’s death in drought hit Tharparkar today (Monday), media reported.
A three member committee of Supreme Court, led by the Chief Justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain, would hear the case in Islamabad today.
Hussain took the suo moto notice on Friday against death of hundreds of children in drought-ridden Tharparkar, Sindh.
Chief Secretary of Sindh has been ordered by the Chief Justice to present a detailed report of famine in Tharparkar and its current situation.
The apex court has also ordered the Sindh Government to send at least one representative of Additional Secretary level in the hearing on Monday.
