ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday has dissolved existing committee of government for talks with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and decided to make new committee for holding up talks in the next phase with the TTP directly.
In today’s meeting with the PM, member TTP committee Maulana Sami-ul-Haq demanded the government to dissolved the existing committee and made new authorize committee which accompanied with all stake holders.
The PM agreed with the suggestion and decided to dissolve existing government committee. But he also decided to include all the members of existing committee members in all the consultations.
In the government’s new committee representation of federal government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) government and military will be given whereas Interior Minister will be focal person of the committee.
Final numbers member of new government committee will be announced later which will the power to initiate talks with the Taliban council directly.
