DUBAI: South Africa U-19 beat Pakistan U-19 by six wickets in the final match of ICC under 19 World Cup match and lifts the coveted trophy here at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan team repeated the history of 1999 ICC world cup final when Pakistan’s national team surprisingly got all out for 132 in the most important match in the world cricket as today U-19 Pakistan also went all out for 131 against South Africa.
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first.
The wickets started to fall like cards and at one time Pakistan were 6-60.
South Africa’s Corbin Bosch took 4 wickets while Pakistan’s Gohar Zafar was the top scorer of the innings with only 37 runs.
South Africa started their innings with Aiden Markram confidently making it till the end and scoring 66 runs.
While Oldfield made 40 runs and lost his wicket to Pakistan’s Karamat Ali.
Karamat Ali took one more wicket too.
South African captain Aiden Markram was declared “Player of the tournament”
South Africa won the title for the first time.
