KARACHI: Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Police Karachi Shahid Hayat presented report related to peace situation of the metropolis in Supreme Court today, in hearing of Karachi law and order case.
Supreme Court larger bench heard the Karachi law and order case today, report states that terror activities increased after targeted operation against criminals initiated in Karachi last year in September.
Report presented by AIG police further stated that terrorist retaliating after targeted operation and extortion cases have been increased which will be controlled soon.
Report say 94 policemen have been killed so far after the initiation of targeted operation in the city.
Report said from last year September to date, 213 most wanted and 601 other wanted accused have been arrested, during this period target killing decreased to 56%, murder cases declined to 30 percent .
Report also stated that on the allegations of target killing 153 accused were arrested, of whom not any single released on bail.
In kidnapping for ransom total 71 accused were arrested, of whom 67 were in jail and four were in police custody and no one got bailed by judiciary.
During the hearing Advocate General Sindh also submitted re-designation report of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rao Anwar, Court showing its anger on the report said 50 person lost their lives in Abbas town blast, why criminal negligence case could not registered against Rao Anwar? why he was not posted other than Malir. Court also ordered to present Rao Anwar previous posting record.
Regarding lands allotment Justice Amir Hani Muslim remarked that Chief Minister Sindh not authorize to distribute land individually.
Court ordered Sindh government to submit all record of allotted lands in last two weeks.
