HAMILTON: Indian team has lost its second One-Day International by 15 runs under Duck worth-Lewis method against New Zealand at Seddon Park in Hamilton.
Kiwi’s batsmen set the massive 272 runs target in 42 overs, but according to ICC rules, it was actually 293 runs in 50 overs, due to time reduction after rain.
According the rules, India needed a total of 292 runs for victory in 41.3 overs against New Zealand, but Indian team scored only 277 runs losing 9 wickets.
Virat Kohli made once again 78 runs of half-century, besides skipper MS Dhoni who scored 56 runs in the match.
Kiwi batsman Kane Williamson got the “Man of the Match’ for his wonderful 77 runs.
